Her character is a tight-laced, post-Victorian working girl with modesty issues. But actress Cynthia Dale yearns to face the music and dance in her role as a sweatshop drone in the Manitoba Theatre Centre production of Syncopation.
"One of her first words is, 'restless.' She is internally restless," Dale says. "Her first words are, 'I didn't sleep last night -- restless, I don't know why.' "
