Rene Russo will team with Eddie Murphy and Robert De Niro in a new action-comedy film spoofing the reality TV craze, Variety reports.
The trio will star in "Showtime," which sees Russo as a TV producer who pairs a straight-arrow cop with a hammy partner for a new reality-based show. Variety didn't specify who will play the showboating cop and who will be the straight-man between De Niro and Murphy, but it's a safe bet how the roles will be assigned.
The film is being directed by "Shanghai Noon" helmer Tom Dey. De Niro is currently onscreen in "15 Minutes," while Russo will next be seen in director Barry Sonenfeld's "Big Trouble."
