The "Meet The Parents" team of Robert De Niro and director Jay Roach are joining forces again to create a sitcom based on Becky Mode's hit play "Fully Committed," Variety reports.
Roach may also direct the pilot episode for the proposed ABC series, if he can find time away from shooting the upcoming third "Austin Powers" film, the report said.
Like the play, the series will be a behind-the-scenes look at a hip Manhattan restaurant -- something De Niro knows a little something about. He is a partner in several Manhattan eateries.
ABC is targeting the series for next fall, Variety said.
