De Niro's 'Shepherd' moves forward
By
"The Good Shepherd," an epic about the CIA, is scheduled to start filming this fall after over a decade in development.

This movie spans the 40-year career of James Wilson, a Yale student recruited as one of the founders of the CIA.

The film, scheduled for release in late 2005, will be directed by Robert De Niro and will star Leonardo DiCaprio.

Although both stars have been attached to the project for a few years, synchronizing their schedules has been a problem. The two have worked together on 1993's "This Boy's Life."

DiCaprio will be seen next in "The Aviator." De Niro's upcoming projects include "The Bridge of San Luis Rey," "Meet the Fockers," and "Godsend."
