De Niro, 50 Cent eye cop thriller

Robert De Niro and rapper 50 Cent are in final talks to star in the new cop thriller "New Orleans," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film centres on a police officer who thinks his partner died during Hurricane Katrina, but later finds out he was murdered.

Together with his new partner he probes the murder, and uncovers police corruption.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in New Orleans in February.
