PASADENA, Calif -- Director Ted Demme's sudden death last Sunday at the age of 38 sent a chill throughout the industry -- especially among some fortysomething bad boys already newly obsessed with health and fitness.
Demme was Denis Leary's close pal and favourite director. He teamed with the edgy comic a few years ago on The Ref in Toronto as well as on Leary's HBO special Lock 'N Load, plus dozens of clever comic rants on MTV.
