Johnny Depp and "Monster's Ball" director Marc Forster are teaming up to tell the story of "Peter Pan" author J.M. Barrie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film is entitled "Neverland". It is to begin filming this summer in London, based on Allan Knee's play "The Man Who Was Peter Pan."
The story focuses on Barrie's writing of the children's fantasy classic in 1800s England, after he bonded with four fatherless children.
The film is being produced by Miramax, which handled Depp's "Chocolat" and the forthcoming feature "Once Upon A Time In Mexico," from "El Mariachi" director Robert Rodriguez.
