Johnny Depp has agreed to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the sequel to "Pirates Of The Caribbean," Variety reports.

Also returning is producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski, as well as writers Terry Rossio and Ted Elliott.

Disney has already made sequel arrangements with co-stars Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley.

No start date has been scheduled for the follow-up film, which has made an estimated $621 million worldwide.
