Diaz could join $20 million club
By JAM! Movies
Cameron Diaz is in negotiations to reprise her role in "Charlie's Angels" in a deal that could net her a heavenly $20 million.

Variety reports that if the Diaz deal become reality, she will become only the second actress (after Julia Roberts) to command that lofty salary.

The actress's accountant must be smiling these days. Variety said Diaz has also signed on to reprise her voice work in the upcoming sequel to "Shrek." For one week's work laying down her lines, she'll be paid an estimated $10 million. The same generous deal was also offered to her "Shrek" co-stars Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers, the report said.

Drew Barrymore has already signed on to co-star with Diaz and to serve as the film's co-producer. The third Angel, Lucy Liu, is still in negotiations. Director McG is to begin shooting the film this summer, the report said.

Roberts earned $20 million for her Oscar-winning performance in "Erin Brockovich." Other top-earning actresses include Jodie Foster and Meg Ryan, who have both commanded $15 million. (Coincidentally, Diaz earned that for her work in the upcoming film "The Sweetest Thing").

Sandra Bullock is believed to be near that salary range, while Jennifer Lopez is in the double-digit range per-film, Variety said.

Diaz's price tag could go even higher, depending on the fate of two high-profile films in which she's featured: Cameron Crowe's "Vanilla Sky" (opposite Tom Cruise) and Martin Scorsese's "Gangs Of New York" (with Leonardo DiCaprio).
