Robert Duvall and Will Ferrell are teaming up to star in an untitled soccer comedy, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Newcomer Marco Schnabel is directing the film in which Ferrell plays the coach of his young son's soccer team who is forced to go up against his highly competitive father (Duvall), who has a new son on the opposing team.
The movie is scheduled to start filming in January.
This won't be the first soccer film for veteran actor Duvall, having already starred as a coach of a Scottish team in the 2000 film "A Shot at Glory."
Duvall's current films include the comedy "Secondhand Lions", with Michael Caine and Haley Joel Osment, and the upcoming "The Lost City", with actor-director Andy Garcia.
