Colin Farrell is joining Charlize Theron in the Iraqi war drama "The Hurt Locker."

The film centres on a bomb disposal unit caught up in a game of cat and mouse, Production Weekly reports.

The cast also includes Ralph Fiennes ("Schindler's List") and Willem Dafoe ("Platoon").

Director Kathryn Bigelow ("Point Break") will helm the film.

Production on "The Hurt Locker" is scheduled to begin later this spring.
