Dogma's Smith takes pot-shot at Fiorentino
By BRUCE KIRKLAND
The candid Smith takes a shot at the diva actress he derisively calls "the lovely and warm Linda Fiorentino" on a feature-length commentary presented on the new Special Edition DVD release of his 1999 film. "Not the easiest person in the world to work with," Smith says of Fiorentino. "I stand alone on those comments. I'm the only one who politically will make that move." In contrast, Janeane Garofalo, in a small support role, was totally cool and should have had Fiorentino's role instead, Smith says. "I wish I had cast her (Garofalo) in the lead. She was a real joy to work with, a lot of fun and I really dug her." |
