CANNES -- American actor-director Vincent Gallo defended his film, The Brown Bunny, after he presented the controversial road and sex picture to both jeers and cheers at a competition gala last night.
In one of the most outrageous press conferences in the last 22 years here, the eccentric Gallo also said he had rejected both Kirsten Dunst and Winona Ryder for a supporting role in the film, instead opting for an unknown off the street of a small town in New Hampshire.
