Jennifer Garner has signed on to produce and star in a remake of the 2004 Japanese hit film "To Be With You," Variety reports.
The movie centres on a dying young woman who, on her deathbed, tells her husband and son that she will return to them.
A year later, the father and son happen upon a lady who bears an uncanny resemblance to the dead woman.
The original film was based on a novel by Takuji Ichikawa.
Garner, whose movie credits include "Elektra" and 13 Going on 30, recently finished work on the romantic comedy "Catch and Release," which was filmed in Vancouver.
