Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta are set to star in "Hero Wanted."

According to HollywoodReporter.com, the plot centres on a garbage man who stages a bank robbery so he can play the hero in order to impress a woman who works at the bank.

Brian Smrz will make his directorial debut on the project written by Chad and Evan Law.

Shooting will start next month in Bulgaria.
