HOLLYWOOD -- On screen and off, Heather Graham is no stranger to the many faces of love.
She was the porn star Rollergirl in Boogie Nights and an intended victim of Jack the Ripper in From Hell.
She was in a threesome with Robert Downey Jr. and Natasha Gregson Wagner in Two Girls and a Guy and went swinging with Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn in Swingers.
On the lighter side, she romanced Mike Myers in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, had intergalactic sex in Lost in Space and flirted with incest in Say It Isn't So.
On Friday, Graham stars in Edward Burns' ensemble romantic drama Sidewalks of New York and has already wrapped the intense drama Killing Me Softly, which explores sadomasochistic sex.
Graham's first high-profile affair was with James Woods when they filmed the boxing drama Diggstown in 1992.
She was 22. He was 45.
Two years later Graham dated pop rocker Adam Ant and in 1997 she had a brief affair with Canadian actor Elias Koteas.
Graham dated director Stephen Hopkins while they were filming Lost in Space and was in a relationship with Burns when they filmed Sidewalks of New York, but left him for Aussie actor Heath Ledger.
Graham and Ledger split earlier this year and she insists she has only replaced him with casual acquaintances rather than any serious relationship.
'IT'S VERY SEXUAL'
Graham says she would like to clear up two misconceptions about her.
She maintains she did not say she had sworn off actors or directors in favour of screenwriters, as some magazines reported.
"What I said was that I don't want to date people I meet while I'm working with them. I would certainly pursue a relationship with an actor or a director or any person I meet on a film set once that project is over."
Graham says she did not begin a relationship with Burns as a result of making Sidewalks of New York.
In the film, which Burns wrote and directed, the couple play strangers who fall in love even though they are in other relationships.
Graham's character is married to Stanley Tucci, who is cheating on her.
"Ed was my boyfriend at the time. He had written Sidewalks and I wanted to do something with him. He's such an exciting filmmaker."
Burns is now engaged to model Christy Turlington.
Graham says she may have starred in a film called Kiss & Tell but that's not her philosophy in real life.
"I think it's probably better not to say too much about past relationships.
"Ed is a brilliant man. I wish him well in his new relationship.
"Heath is a great guy. He's a very talented actor and I had a really great time going out with him."
Though she began making movies in 1986 when she was 16, Graham says she didn't feel famous until she starred in The Spy Who Shagged Me 12 years later.
"Little kids and teenagers started noticing me. It felt really weird and bizarre."
Graham will reprise her role as Felicity Shagwell in Goldmember, the next Austin Powers film.
But she feels Killing Me Softly could be her most explicit and controversial film to date.
"It's very sexual," she says, admitting both she and her Killing Me Softly costar Joseph Fiennes were a bit leery of the sex scenes.
"There were days when we'd just look at each other as if to ask what we had got ourselves into. That's often the case in real-life relationships too."
