Director Renny Harlin ("Exorcist: The New Beginning," "Die Hard 2") has inked a deal to helm the horror flick "The Covenant," Variety reports.

Actor Steven Strait, who can currently be seen in the Kurt Russell film "Sky High," will join actor Sebastian Stan ("Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding") and newcomers Toby Hemingway and Chace Crawford in the film about a mysterious stranger at an exclusive prep school.

Shooting on the film will begin in Montreal on Oct. 4.
