Paris Hilton must die. Long live Paris Hilton!
After serving 23 days of a 45-day sentence for probation violation, the heiress was released from jail on Tuesday.
Hilton says she's going to turn over a new leaf, even donate heaping amounts of the family's hotel money towards women's causes.
Could she really be rehabilitated? Doubt it. Everyone knows what she really wants is revenge, especially on those who may have profited from, like, one of the most totally terrible experiences of for-everrr.
Rob Clarke and Justin Der, watch your backs. Paris Hilton is coming for you.
The boys behind Foosh apparel on Whyte Avenue came up with the nifty Paris Behind Bars T-shirt design to, uh, celebrate the virtues of the American justice system. Maybe you've read about it or even seen them around. Maybe not. Really, there aren't many left. Demand for the recently released $45 Ts has been incredible.
"It's been crazy," says Clarke, whose "Foosh" brand has finally struck pay dirt after 10 years. Not that it's ever been lacking in the hip department, really.
"Our line has always been on par with the Paris shirt in terms of the design and quality. We've had some designs get recognition internationally, like our "drop beats not bombs" T that made it onto TV a couple times for instance. But this has been a full-scale interest in all of our shirts direct to people and shops worldwide."
That extends to fashion epicenters like New York and L.A., along with chic boutiques in Moscow, Holland and Australia.
And in fine shops across Canada, of course. While still part of a limited edition run, the teased image of the shirt online was enough to warrant Clarke and Der making it their largest single run ever.
With global consumers now getting to know the whole line, and Foosh's sales going up as a result, maybe Hilton and her high-priced lawyers will come a -gunning for two of the city's coolest designers and whatever's in the till.
Clarke says he isn't worried, though - and he has our short attention spans to thank for it.
"Since the shirt dropped, you can now find a number of other ones around the Internet. There's a "Free Paris" T that is getting hype, too. As fast as this has blown up it will be over and on to the next thing."
And being the next best thing again and again is the goal, right?
I mean, the alternative, is so like - eww.
