HOLLYWOOD -- With Disney successfully reviving its old Witch Mountain franchise (Race to Witch Mountain, starring the artist formally known as The Rock, ruled the box office over the weekend), we found ourselves asking just one nagging question.
And it's not "Why did Dwayne Johnson drop his old moniker?"
Rather, it's "Whatever became of Kim Richards, the original girl who starred as the long-haired telekinetic alien teen in 1975's Escape to Witch Mountain and 1978's Return From ...?"
Well, guess what?
She grew up to become the auntie of one Paris Hilton.
For real.
Richards' sister Kathy is the celebutante's mom and if you catch Kim's cameo in the new movie -- she plays a waitress -- there's definitely something Paris-ish about her.
After a successful career as a child star during which she guest-starred on a ton of '70s TV shows and met a nasty demise in John Carpenter's cult classic, Assault on Precinct 13, Richards dropped out of showbiz to raise her four kids.
A 44-year-old single mother now living in Malibu, Richards has been testing the comeback waters, playing Christina Ricci's mother in 2007's Black Snake Moan.
She also appeared in the 2002 mockumentary short, The Blair Witch Mountain Project, reprising her old Tia Malone character.
The 12-minute film was directed by none other than Ike Eisenmann, who played Richards' brother Tony in those original Disney features.
Welcome back, Kim!
Now if we can only find out whatever happened to that computer who wore tennis shoes ... oh yeah, he's married to Goldie Hawn.
Now whatever happened to her?
