Dennis Hopper, who was last seen in the indie drama "Out of Season," has joined the cast of "America," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Hopper will play a 19th century impresario who revives a polish actress's career when she immigrates to the U.S.
"Gosford Park's" Helen Mirren has also joined the cast.
The film, an adaptation of Susan Sontag's 2001 novel "In America," is being directed by Polish helmer Jerzy Skolimowski.
"America" will begin filming by the end of the year in Poland and Spain.
