Samuel L. Jackson will team up with "Hitch" star Eva Mendes in the war drama "Home of the Brave," Production Weekly reports.

The "Star Wars" actor will play a doctor who has been stationed in Iraq for several months, and when he returns to his home, his practice and his wife, he finds returning to a "normal life" after a life of war is not easy.

Irwin Winkler ("De-Lovely") will direct the film with shooting to begin in Morocco and Washington State in February.

Jackson will next appear in "Freedomland," a thriller starring Julianne Moore.
