Neil Jordan eyes 'Monster' film
Controversial Michael Collins film opens in Ireland
By JAM! Movies

Irish filmmaker Neil Jordan is in negotiations to rewrite and direct the film "Me and My Monster," according to the Hollywood Reporter.

The movie centers on a young boy who has a friendship with an extraordinary creature that changes the course of his life as he becomes an adult.

"Me and My Monster" is being produced by Laura Ziskin ("Spider-Man") and special effects wizard Stan Winston, who won Oscars for his work on "Jurassic Park" and "Aliens."

Jordan's latest film, "The Good Thief," was released earlier this year. (More on Neil Jordan)
