Nicole Kidman is in negotiations to star in "The Bachelorette Party," an adaptation of the novel by "Legally Blonde" writer Karen McCullah Lutz.
Variety reports the story focuses on Zadie Roberts, a high school teacher who gets left at the altar and swears to stay away from romance.
But when her best friend gets engaged to her cousin, she must attend the bachelorette party, where Zadie sees her cousin commit a drunken indiscretion and has to decide whether her loyalties lie with family or friend.
Kidman will next be seen as famed photographer Diane Arbus in "Fur" with Robert Downey Jr.
