After making hearts swoon in flicks like "A Knight's Tale" and "The Patriot," Heath Ledger is set to seduce audiences in "Casanova," Variety reports.
Lasse Hallstrom ("Chocolat," "The Shipping News") will direct the story of the famed womanizer who learns the true meaning of love when he encounters a woman immune to his charms.
Ledger, who recently completed work on the Terry Gilliam-directed "The Brothers Grimm," will first star in "Brokeback Mountain" for Ang Lee and for director Catherine Hardwicke in "The Lords of Dogtown."
In the meantime, Hallstrom is readying "An Unfinished Life" with Robert Redford, Jennifer Lopez and Morgan Freeman for release December 24.
"The Brothers Grimm" hits theatres November 19.
