Ang Lee is expected to direct the romantic comedy "A Little Game."
Variety.com reports that Lee has joined the project, which will be re-written by frequent collaborator James Schamus ("Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon").
The film is an adaptation of the French play "A Little Game of Consequences." The plot revolves around an engaged couple who decide to perform an experiment on their friends by pretending to break up to see what the real reactions were to their engagement.
"A Little Game" was originally shelved a while back when then-stars Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz backed out over script concerns.
Lee's next release is the war film "Lust, Caution."
