HOLLYWOOD -- John Leguizamo was nursing a particularly warm, fuzzy feeling at the Spirit awards.
He'd just learned Ice Age, in which he voices the motor-mouthed sloth Sid, was still packing in huge audiences on its second weekend of release.
"We beat E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, and that means a lot to me," says Leguizamo.
He's heard all the rumours that director Chris Wedge is already working on Ice Age 2.
"My take on that is they'll wait for the results of the third weekend grosses to contact the actors about a sequel."
Leguizamo's Sid is not exactly the brightest of creatures, but the actor insists he's done some bright things in his life.
"The smartest thing I did for my career was to be in Summer of Sam and the smartest thing I've done for my personal life was to have kids."
