Canadian actress Rachel McAdams ("Mean Girls," "The Notebook") and Cillian Murphy ("Cold Mountain") are set to star in the Wes Craven-directed thriller "Red Eye," Variety reports.
The film centres on a woman (McAdams) who is held captive by a stranger (Murphy) on an airplane. He threatens to kill her father unless she helps assassinate a rich businessman.
Production on the film begins on November 8 in Los Angeles, with a tentative late spring release date scheduled.
