Scottish actor James McAvoy ("The Chronicles of Narnia") will team up with Keira Knightley ("Pride and Prejudice") in the romantic drama "Atonement," Production Weekly reports.

In the film, based on British author Ian McEwan's novel, McAvoy will play a man who falls in love with the sister of a young woman who has accused him of rape.

Director Joe Wright will helm the pic with shooting to begin in May in the U.K.

McAvoy is currently filming the Jane Austen biopic "Becoming Jane," with Anne Hathaway.
