Sienna Miller ("Casanova") and Peter Sarsgaard ("Jarhead") are in talks to star in the thriller "Mysteries of Pittsburgh," The Hollywood Reporter says.

Based on the 1988 Michael Chabon novel, the big-screen version will chronicle the last summer of Art Bechstein's youth, and revolves around his eccentric circle of friends including Jane (Miller) and Cleveland (Sarsgaard).

Director Rawson Marshall Thurber ("Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story") wrote the "Pittsburgh" screenplay, and will also helm the picture.

Miller will next be seen in "Factory Girl" with Hayden Christensen, while Sarsgaard will star alongside Molly Shannon in the comedy, "Year of the Dog."
