Mortensen eyes Spanish film 'Teresa'

"A History of Violence' actor Viggo Mortensen is in talks to star in the Spanish-language film "Teresa," Production Weekly reports.

Mortensen would play a cleric in the story of mystic saint Teresa of Avila, whose writings and raptures inspired the near-psychedelic film.

It would be Mortensen's second time working with novelist and director Ray Loriga, who directed Mortensen in his 1997 film, "My Brother's Gun."

Shooting will begin Nov. 21 in Spain.

Mortensen's other acting credits include the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and the western "Hidalgo."
