Jonathan Mostow, the director of the submarine thriller "U-571," is emerging as the likely candidate to helm the third film in the "Terminator" series, Variety reports.
Mostow, who has only four films under his belt but has emerged as a fast-rising master of both the thriller and special effects-laden pictures, has already held several positive meetings with "Terminator" star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is expected to do battle with a female robot in the third installment.
