It seems "Dreamgirls" star Eddie Murphy has nowhere to run.

Variety.com reports the Oscar-nominated actor is in negotiations to star in the comedy, "Nowhereland."

Murphy will play a financial executive whose life falls apart. When things look their worst, he finds salvation in an imaginary world created by his daughter.

A director should be named within the next two weeks. Production is scheduled to start this summer.

Murphy's next film will be the sci-fi comedy "Starship Dave."
