Academy Award winner Geoffery Rush ("Shine") and Clive Owen ("Closer") will star opposite Cate Blanchett in "The Golden Age," the sequel to the 1998 film "Elizabeth."
Variety reports the film will focus more on Elizabeth I's (Blanchett) relationship with Sir Walter Raleigh (Owen), with Rush reprising his role as Sir Francis Walsingham.
Shekhar Kapur, who directed the original, will helm the movie with shooting to begin in April.
Rush is currently filming "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" starring Johnny Depp, while Owen will next appear in the Jennifer Aniston film "Derailed," set for release on Nov. 11.
