LOS ANGELES -- Before he shoots a fourth Twilight, Robert Pattinson hopes to saddle up alongside Hugh Jackman for a western next year.
The project, which may also star Oscar winner Rachel Weisz, is called Unbound Captives.
"I'm playing a kid who was kidnapped by the Comanche when he was four years old and he's brought up by them," Pattinson explains.
"Then his mother spends her entire life trying to find me and my sister."
Weisz would play his mother, who enlists Jackman's frontiersman to help her.
"When she finds us we can't remember who she is and can't remember anything about the western culture that she grew up in. I speak Comanche in the whole movie," Pattinson says.
"It reminds me in a lot of ways of Giant, which is one of my favourite movies. I think that's why I responded to it."
While he acknowledges the role couldn't be "more different from (Twilight's) Edward" he denies he's looking to distance himself from his undead alter-ego.
"I wasn't really thinking about that."
