Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Ruffalo are teaming up in the adaptation of the John Burnham Schwartz novel "Reservation Road," Variety reports.
The film, directed by Terry George ("Hotel Rwanda"), centres on two fathers whose worlds collide after a hit-and-run accident.
Ruffalo plays the driver who flees after killing Phoenix's character's son, which sets the dad on a path of revenge.
"Reservation Road" is scheduled to begin shooting this fall.
