Pitt, Billy Bob team up for film
By KEVIN WILLIAMSON - Calgary Sun

CALGARY - Brad Pitt may be making Peace with Billy Bob Thornton in Calgary.

The two are set to team as producer and star of the drama Peace Like A River, which has scouted the city and now looks likely to shoot here in the fall, say Sun sources.

"There's a good sense (in the local industry) that it's coming," says one insider.

Pitt, who will be making the movie through his Plan B company, filmed The Assassination of Jesse James in southern Alberta last fall.

Pitt's presence put the city in the world spotlight with celebrity photographers stalking the streets for then-elusive pictures of Pitt and his paramour Angelina Jolie.

Thornton, of course, was married to Jolie for two years.

And in case you've been busy establishing a lunar colony, you may have also heard Pitt and Jolie recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, who Calgarians -- with calendars and too much time on their hands -- have speculated was conceived in Alberta.

Presumably, while he's not starring in Peace, Pitt's behind-the-scenes involvement would mean the actor will return here for at least a few days during the shoot.

The film, based on Leif Enger's book, follows a Minnesota family in the 1960s who are tormented by two neighbourhood thugs.
