"Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi will take the reins of "The Wee Free Men," a fantasy film based on Terry Pratchett's best-selling young-adult novel, Variety reports.
The premise of the 2003 novel follows a nine-year-old farm girl's journey to a parallel world in order to save her brother from an evil fairy queen.
"The Wee Free Men" is part of a Pratchett's Disc World series, which are international best sellers.
Raimi will begin to work on the big-screen adaptation after he wraps production on "Spider-Man 3," which begins shooting this month.
