Ving Rhames says Tom Cruise has informed him that Oliver Stone has agreed to write and direct a sequel to Mission Impossible.

"Tom respects Oliver because their work on Born on the Fourth of July earned Tom an Oscar nomination.

"Tom says my character is definitely coming back in the sequel."
