Rob Schneider is hoping for blinding success with his latest film.

Schneider, star of "The Animal" and "Deuce Bigelow: Male Gigolo," has been working with producer David Permut to develop the comedy "Blind Sided" for him to star in, Variety reports.

"Blind Sided" is about a man who regains his sight after many years and finds the world a very different place from what he imagined.

In a similar vein, Schneider is also to star in "Harv The Barbarian," about a savage who "finds himself on a voyage of self-discovery," Variety said.

"Barbarian" begins shooting later this year.
