Polly Shannon wasn't even born when Pierre Elliot Trudeau married Margaret Sinclair on March 4, 1971. In fact, at 28, Shannon could be Justin Trudeau's kid sister.
So when she was chosen to play the pivotal role of Margaret in the four-hour miniseries Trudeau (airing tonight and tomorrow at 8 p.m. on CBC), Shannon had some catching up to do.
