Silverstone eyes TV debut
By JAM! Music
Alicia Silverstone may make her small screen debut in a new TV series by "Sex And The City" creator Darren Star.

The hour-long show, which is still in the pilot stage, will see Silverstone play a New York lawyer who doubles as a matchmaker even though her own love life is less than perfect, Variety reports.

Star claims the role will surprise viewers who are used to seeing her in teen roles.

"There's this grown-up, adult persona that I don't think people are quite as familiar with," Star told Variety.

Silverstone recently completed a nine-month run on Broadway starring in "The Graduate."

Her big screen credits include "Love's Labour's Lost," "Blast From the Past," "Batman and Robin," "Excess Baggage" and "The Crush."
