Bryan Singer will direct an untitled project for Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner's production company.

Variety.com reports the film will reunite Singer with "Usual Suspects" screenwriter Chris McQuarrie and the duo will also produce.

Few plot details are available, but the film will be a multi-character ensemble piece set during the Second World War.

Cruise and Wagner are currently in production for Robert Redford's "Lions for Lambs," which is set for a Nov. 9 release.
