Wesley Snipes has been sued for allegedly failing to make mortgage payments on his 900-square metre mansion in Islesworth, a gated community in Florida, Zap2It.com reports.

The suit filed in Orange County by Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp. said the actor defaulted on his house payments last October. This is the second time Snipes has been sued by the mortgage company. A similar case was filed in February 2001, but was dropped after payments were made.

The 40-year-old has had no shortage of work recently. Last year he starred in "Blade II," and "Undisputed," and he is scheduled to film two movies, Mike Van Diem's crime drama, "Godforsaken," and Zak Penn's sci-fi action flick "John Doe," this year.

Snipes's mansion is valued at US$1.7 million.
