Wesley Snipes is set to take on action star Jean Claude Van Damme in the thriller "The Hard Corps," Production Weekly reports.

Snipes will play a former heavyweight boxing champion who hires a bodyguard (Van Damme) to protect him against a dangerous rap music mogul, but when the boxer suspects the bodyguard of falling in love with his sister, complications arise.

"Bloodsport" director Sheldon Lettich will helm the pic with production scheduled to begin next month in British Columbia.

Snipes will next appear with Ryan Phillippe in the action-thriller "Chaos," set for release on December 2.
