NEW YORK -- Jon Stewart wants to set the record straight: The Daily Show is strictly for laughs. "We are comedy monkeys," he says. "No one is taking this as a true and correct source of independent reporting."
Interviewed last Friday on the set of his show, Stewart was reacting to praise from American news deans Peter Jennings and Bill Moyers that Daily was the real deal.
