Patrick Swayze puts baby on hold
By JIM SLOTEK
We don't have to ask who's calling the shots in Patrick Swayze's household -- this month anyway.

In a career move so cute I could go into glucose shock, Swayze and wife Lisa Niemi are coming to Toronto late this month to star in Without A Word, a drama produced by Swayze, written and directed by Niemi.

The film, a semi-autobiographical love story about a pair of dancers who fall in love, had been shopped around for nine years before the couple found financing in early '98.

In an interview he gave to Ladies Home Journal, Swayze said the film is forcing them to put off plans to have a baby. "You can't be pregnant in leotards," he said. "And this is the last chance for us to get our bodies into the shape of concert dancers and capture it with the magic of film."
