First-time Canadian feature filmmaker Jacob Tierney hopes Charles Dickens isn't rolling over in his grave as a result of Tierney's dark, modern retelling of Oliver Twist.
"Oh, gosh. I really hope not," said the Montreal-born director-writer, 24, during an interview at last year's Toronto International Film Festival.
