"That '70s Show" star Wilmer Valderrama has been cast in the big-screen version of the classic TV cop show "ChiPs."
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Valdrerrama will play motorcycle cop Ponch, a role originated by Erik Estrada in the classic 70's show that followed the adventures of California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers Francis "Ponch" Poncherello and Jon Baker.
The TV-to-film translation will be an action-comedy set in the present day, unlike other big-screen 70s show adaptations of "Starsky and Hutch" and "The Dukes of Hazzard," which took place in their original era.
Valderrama is currently working on the last season of "That 70's Show" and will appear in the indie film "The Darwin Awards."
