The Calgary woman who will walk down the aisle with Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn is just a nice, down-to-earth prairie girl, according to her co-workers.

"She's an exquisite person, obviously on the outside, but on the inside as well," Sylvia Smith said of fellow realtor Kyla Weber.

Weber's name has been bouncing around the blogosphere since yesterday when it was reported Vaughn had proposed to the 29-year-old on Valentine's Day.

It's said he dropped on one knee to present her with a sparkling $125,000 diamond ring.

"It's the biggest ring I've ever seen," said Smith, who spoke to Weber a few days ago when she popped into the Royal Lepage office on Elbow Dr.

"It's magnificent. It's a great big diamond surrounded by other circular diamonds."

Smith said Weber blushed as her co-workers admired the engagement ring.

"She's very happy but Kyla is not a boastful kind of person.

"She's quiet and kind. She's just a true Albertan girl. She's not the Hollywood type. She's just a wonderful person and a great realtor."

Weber moved into Vaughn's Los Angeles home in December, but has kept her realtor's licence in Alberta.

Smith was unaware if Weber had given her notice to quit Royal Lepage yet.

"I guess we all have to do what we have to do," she said.

"So if that's where her new life and new husband is taking her that's where you've got to go right? ... But if she does quit, we'll miss her.

"She's an asset to this company.

"But I'm sure she'll come back and visit us."

Smith also said the office had fielded several calls from American celebrity magazines.

"We've never commented on her," she explained.

"We've always kept it that way and she's thanked us a million times for keeping it that way."

Smith admitted some of her co-workers were unaware that Weber was even dating the Hollywood star as she is a very private person.

"We never saw Vince here," Weber said.

"But maybe he visited her when she was at her ranch near Okotoks."

Weber is said to have met Vaughn at a wedding in Los Angeles last summer.

She was a friend of the bride, while Vaughn knew the producer groom.

A source told starmagazine.com yesterday that after Weber returned from her trip, she broke up with her longtime boyfriend from Okotoks.

Weber's father, Ken Weber, declined to comment on his daughter's impending nuptials when contacted by the Sun.
