They're no control freaks
By BRUCE KIRKLAND
HOLLYWOOD -- The notoriously media-shy Wachowski Brothers, 37-year-old Larry and 35-year-old Andy, do not give interviews so we leave it to Jada Pinkett-Smith:

Were The Brothers hands-on directors of the two sequels, which were shot as one extended film in Australia and various locales in California?

"Absolutely," Pinkett-Smith says. "Every aspect of it. Absolutely!"

But are they control freaks? "Control freaks I would not say. I did not get that feeling at all. Not from the Wachowskis."

Did that give her freedom? "Well, you know, you can't really have freedom. When you're in a project like this, in a world that you didn't create and that somebody else created, it's surrender. You really have to surrender yourself completely and totally. And so you have to really trust the directors."
